Zedler-Group provides training for both dual students and apprentices

Right at the beginning of the year, the Zedler-Group welcomed three new students specialising in International Business and Mechanical Engineering. Following brief pre-study internships at the company, this trio has spent the past few months completing their first theoretical phase at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart (DHBW).

During the getting to know meeting at Zedler-Institut’s seminar area (f.l.t.r.): Dual students and apprentices Lisa Perikic, Joudy Arbash, Lea Haasper, Phil Schaefer, Timothy Wieser, Lars Oefinger, Philipp Kipker. Bendix Petmecky is missing on the photo.

“We invest in young people and are delighted that three more dual students have decided to join our company this year, whom we can now support during their studies and train in practice.” With this address Annelies Rokitte-Elmering welcomed the trio in her role as one of the advisors during the training at the internal getting to know meeting for apprentices and the students.

The fact that the Zedler Group's investment in apprentices pays off have proven the two bicycle mechanic apprentices Arne Macher and Fynn Heit. And founder and managing director Dirk Zedler states: “We are delighted that Arne completed his apprenticeship top of his class and received a commendation along with the apprenticeship completion address. We are also proud that both of them are continuing and completing their further apprenticeship as two-wheeler mechatronic in our company.”

They have completed their training as bicycle mechanics at the Ludwigsburg-company and are now completing their further training as two-wheeler mechatronic at Zedler-Group: Fynn Heit (left) and Arne Macher in the test workshop.

The “trio” that joined at the beginning of 2025 completes the group of dual students in the Zedler team who are already in the higher semesters of their degree programmes. These include Lars Oefinger (Industrial Engineering), Timothy Wieser (Mechanical Engineering - specialising in Design and Development) and Phil Schaefer (Business Administration - Service Management, specialising in Media, Sales and Communication).

Bendix Petmecky is now one of the new ones. Fitting exactly his bachelor's degree in “Mechanical Engineering - specialising in Design and Development” he is completing the practical part in the testing technology team. The enthusiastic gravity mountain biker supports the team of test engineers in the laboratory in the day-to-day business and will then take on tasks in the construction of testing systems in the medium term.

Joudy Arbash supports the testing services team in the commercial area. Under the direction of Annelies Rokitte-Elmering, she is given an overview of the commercial processes in the test laboratories, from the quotation and incoming orders to the transfer of the test pieces to the testing systems, invoicing and return shipment.

The customers of the Technical Documentation department, where Lisa Perikic is starting her theoretical part of the business studies programme, are just as international as the testing customers. In the Tech Docu team, Petra Grunewald gives her an insight into the commercial processing of risk assessments, conformity orders and operating instructions in up to 40 languages.

In the GDFS team (experts reports, training courses for bicycle experts) apprentice Lea Haasper strengthens the administration under the guidance of Timea Markel. The “Office Management Assistant” to be is active in the organisation of experts reports, in accounting and in the preparation of presentations and expert training courses, etc.
